  • As a simple American, this place blew my mind. Food was ready in under five minutes and it was amazing. It’s also open 24 hours too which is wild. I dream of having something like this in the US.

  • For the price it's really good, but expect it to be a bit too salty.

  • Matsuya is a wonderful chain restaurant known (from my understanding) mostly for it's gyudon. That said the menu is more extensive and offers lots of delicious options. I am a pescatarian currently so can't partake in all of the fare on offer. Most often I will get a teishoku set with a grilled piece of salmon, a bowl of miso soup, a bowl of rice and some pickles. I'll alternate between natto or soft tofu as side options. This set also comes with a packet of nori strips (I believe to be eaten with the rice). The restaurant is always clean. The staff are polite and the service is efficient! Additionally I feel compelled to mention the music playlist. It is a wonderful collection of Psychedelic rock traversing different moods; very well put together. It creates a lovely calm contemplative space to dine in! Thank-you for the great times Matsuya!

  • So affordable and with a good variety of choice. Easy to eat reasonably healthy for little. They also have English on the ordering machine.
